cardboard postcard

I have been a scavenger of cardboard lately, hiding it away and then cutting it into postcard sizes.  this is a postcard i made for my sister-in-law on her april birthday.  she wrote back to tell me she is re-using it as a bookmark in one of her cookbooks.  i used cheap acrylic paint and a paint pen for the design.

there is something satisfying about making something from nothing.  :-)

  1. Gorgeous work, I've got a stack of cardboard somewhere must dig it out!

  2. Yes, and something so lovely too! Funny, my Mum and I were talking just the other day about how she still misses saving up all the old cardboard and other stuff I used to collect when I was little. I have now started a little pile of bits again

  3. Nice results! I store away cardboard all the time, but don't use it too often. I might have to dig it out for some postcards.
