one little word 2013

i spent the last day of the year curled up on my couch with susannah conway's unraveling the year ahead workbook.  one of the tasks in it is to declare your one little word to guide you through the upcoming year.  i chose the word reduce.

in 2013 i want to reduce:
stress
guilt
habits without purpose
junk food
stuff
unnecessary obligations

by reducing these things, i hope to open up more room for what really matters to me right now.

my guiding question is:  "will this add to my treasures or junk up my world?"  now i just have to remember to ask it!

what is your one little word for 2013?

  1. What a great word. I like the idea of a guiding question. I've got something similar for this year.

  3. I'm still thinking about my word too: I still can't quite believe we are on the other side of Christmas!

Have a happy New Year - hope 2013 is a great one for you and yours

  4. I love the use of a guiding question...that should really help you make good decisions this year! You could print it out on paper and stick it in your planner, on your mirror, next to your bed, next to the phone, in the car...you would eventually remember to ask it consistently! We could ALL stand to ask ourselves that question!
